High PR Back-Links

Now I want to discuss something that is on a lot of marketers minds lately.  Back-linking.

A back-link is a link that goes from somebody else's site to your site.  The reason they are so valued for natural search engine optimization is that Google grants a higher ranking to sites that have lots of back-links...in particular back-links that are from relevant websites and from websites that have good page rank.

I guess the key question here is, "how do you get back links?"...and just as importantly, how do you get "valuable" back-links.

Well there are a couple of widely used and effective ways to get back-links....actually there are several.  I am going to mention a few of them below for you. 

Technique #1: Social bookmarking sites

There are many sites out there that allow you to link your website (bookmark) it with a short description.  These are called social bookmarking sites and can boost both your website or articles rankings with very little work (other than linking to them). 

You do need to set up accounts with these before you can add your website or article link to them, but this only takes a few minutes.  Below I have provided a list of a few of these sites you can utilize for back-links:

(3) http://www.stumbleupon.com
(4) http://www.mixx.com
(5) http://www.clipmarks.com
(6) http://www.diigo.com
(7) http://www.propeller.com

Simply set up an account with any one of these and link to your site or page within your site with relevant text.  This will lead to your site getting ranked higher and spidered by search engines much quicker.

Technique #2: Article Directories

You have likely heard of article marketing...this is believe it or not another excellent way to get back-links to your website.  Most of these sites have very high Page Rank (5+) and are "do follow" which means that they allow Google's spiders to follow the links to your site, thus giving you a back-link.

To take advantage of article directories, you need to write an article and then within the article or article resource box (the signature portion), you put a link to your website.  In turn, you will be gaining a back-link from a highly reputable source in Google's eyes and it will ultimately help boost your website rankings.

Set-up an account for any of these, write a bit of content, and drop your website link within the article.  It is as easy as that and you have some really high quality, search engine boosting back-links!
